Jiuzhou Metal Shines at VIETBUILD 2026 Hanoi, Vietnam

VIETBUILD, the Vietnam International Building Materials and Home Furnishings Exhibition in Hanoi, is currently Vietnam's largest-scale event, bringing together new services and advanced technologies in the construction and real estate industry, along with a variety of rich activities. Entrepreneurs will meet, exchange ideas, and introduce new products with numerous domestic and international visitors, becoming thematic partners and professionals within the exhibition.
From March 26th to 30th, 2026, the highly anticipated VIETBUILD Hanoi was grandly held at the Vietnam National Exhibition Center (VEC). Jiuzhou Metal showcased a wide range of products including stainless steel, galvanized and color-coated steel, carbon steel, and non-ferrous metals, making a strong appearance at this largest building materials event in Vietnam.
Steady Foot Traffic, but "In-Depth Questions and Realistic Demands"
The number of professional visitors to this year's VIETBUILD Hanoi exhibition remained generally stable. Vietnamese customers were no longer satisfied with simple product introductions or price inquiries, but instead emphasized: Does the Chinese company have a local agent in Vietnam? Can goods be shipped from a local warehouse in Vietnam? Are they considering setting up an assembly point or cooperative factory in Vietnam? This phenomenon is particularly prominent in Hanoi. Northern Vietnam has absorbed a large amount of manufacturing capacity transferred from China in recent years. Their interest in export-oriented models that rely solely on exports from China and lack local support has clearly decreased.
The Market Truth Behind the Data: Demand Remains, Only Channels Are Changing
The strong demand from Vietnamese customers for "localization" is not without reason. According to the latest statistics from Vietnam Customs:
In the full year of 2025, Vietnam imported 9.24 million tons of various steel products from China, worth US$5.81 billion, accounting for 57.45% of Vietnam's total steel imports. China has remained Vietnam's largest steel supplier for many consecutive years.
However, affected by anti-dumping policies, the import volume from China in 2025 decreased by 22.52% year-on-year. One noteworthy detail is that wide hot-rolled coils with a width greater than 1880mm (1.88 meters) were exempted from the anti-dumping tax. In the first half of 2025, Vietnam imported nearly 650,000 tons of hot-rolled coils with a width ≥1880mm from China, 15 times that of the same period last year — indicating that Vietnam's demand for Chinese steel is rigid, merely entering through a different channel due to tariff policies.
In 2025, Vietnam successively imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese hot-rolled coils, galvanized steel, and other products. This dramatic shift in the policy environment perfectly explains why Vietnamese customers at this exhibition repeatedly inquired about local agents or partner warehouses in Vietnam—what they need is not just products, but a channel that ensures stable supply and avoids trade barriers.
VIETBUILD 2026 has come to an end, but our deep cultivation of the Vietnamese market has only just begun. Moving forward, Jiuzhou Metal will transform every piece of customer feedback collected at the exhibition into concrete actions to optimize supply and improve local services. We are not seeking instant success, but rather that every step brings us closer to the market. In 2026, our goal is not merely an appearance at an exhibition, but long-term deep cultivation in the Vietnamese market.
