Algeria: Hub of African Resources and Infrastructure
Algeria has a land area of 2.38 million square kilometers, ranking first in Africa, and a population of over 45 million. As the fourth largest economy in Africa, it is rich in mineral resources, with reserves of oil, natural gas, phosphate, and iron ore ranking among the top in the world. In recent years, the government has promoted economic diversification through the "New Algeria" vision, with a focus on developing mining, metallurgy, and infrastructure sectors. From 2021 to 2026, Algeria plans to invest billions of dollars in housing construction, transportation network upgrades, and energy development, directly driving demand for steel, mining machinery, and other industries.
Strategic Cooperation between China and Algeria
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Arab countries 65 years ago, the bilateral trade volume has continued to grow. In 2021, the total import and export volume of goods between China and Algeria reached 7.43 billion US dollars, making China the third largest trading partner of Algeria. The "the Belt and Road" Cooperation Plan and the "Five Year Plan for Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation" signed by the two countries clearly define that they will deepen cooperation in mine development, metallurgical technology, infrastructure equipment and other fields. Chinese enterprises' engineering machinery, mining equipment, stainless steel and other products have a market share of over 30% in Algeria due to their cost-effectiveness advantages.

The last exhibition (2025) attracted 344 enterprises from more than 20 countries including China, Germany, France and Türkiye, including Zoomlion, Xugong Group, Sany Heavy Industry and other Chinese leaders, as well as international brands such as German Liebherr and French Alstom. Over 10000 professional visitors, including decision-makers from institutions such as the Algerian Ministry of Public Works, the National Mining Company (ENAP), and China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
