200 Tons Carbon Steel H-beams shipped to Denmark on May 30th
The shipment loading 200 tons of carbon steel H-beams to Denmark on May 30th put an end to the shipment schedule of Jiuzhou Metal for the busy month. Words cannot express our gratitude for our Danish client’s trust and recognition amid this special time of incredibly high ocean freight.
As most of us are familiar with, Denmark is located in northern Europe. It borders Germany to the south and Norway and Sweden to the north across the sea. The terrain is low and flat. There are few other natural resources except for oil and natural gas. The shipment route from China to Denmark could not be more tortuous, which is mostly why the ocean freight can get staggering in the background of freight prices rebounding strongly from the bottom since the beginning of 2024.
Speaking of the specific freight route to Denmark, the cargo ship firstly departs from Tianjin Port and travels south, crossing the Yellow Sea and East China Sea, passing through the Taiwan Strait and entering the South China Sea. Then it sails southwest, enters the Strait of Malacca before entering the northern Indian Ocean. Then it drives west until crossing into the Red Sea, and then exits the Suez Canal and sails into the Mediterranean Sea. A few days later, the cargo ship sails out of the Strait of Gibraltar from the Mediterranean Sea and gets embraced by the North Atlantic waters. The ship then sails northeast, crossing the English Channel, and finally reaching the west coast of Eurasia in Denmark by the beginning of July.
This order placed by our Danish customer features the carbon steel H-beam, which is an important steel material widely used in construction, bridges, ships, machinery and other fields. Its excellent mechanical properties and welding properties make it play a pivotal role in modern industry. Carbon steel H-beams have excellent mechanical properties including high strength, hardness and toughness, so it can bear most of the weight and pressure when in use. The structure is simple and easy to install. In addition, it has excellent welding performance and can be easily welded to adapt to various complex structural requirements.
