220 Tons Profile & Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel shipped to Morocco on May 18th
The month of May has just seen another fantastic day to be toasted for Jiuzhou Metal and its client nearby the Atlantic coast! A special shipment weighing 220 tons that includes three types of steel products just left Tianjin Port on the 18th of May, embarking on an adventurous journey to Morocco.
As an important economic center in North Africa, Morocco has become an important link between Africa and global trade with its unique geographical location and rich port resources. Morocco is located on the west side of the African continent, bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, and is only a few hours' flight from Europe. This makes Moroccan ports important hubs connecting Africa and Europe, providing convenient access for international trade throughout the region. Despite that, the shipment route from China to Morocco is like a marathon that takes over a month to complete, passing through three out of the four oceans on earth.
The cargo ship departs from Tianjin Port and travels south, crossing the Yellow Sea and East China Sea, passing through the Taiwan Strait and entering the South China Sea. Then it sails southwest, enters the Strait of Malacca before entering the northern Indian Ocean. Then it drives west until crossing into the Red Sea, and then exits the Suez Canal before witnessing the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. A few days later, the cargo ship sails out of the Strait of Gibraltar from the Mediterranean Sea and gets embraced by the North Atlantic waters. Finally, it can land and have the cargo unloaded in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, on the northwest coast of the African continent.
Unlike many other bulk shipments from Jiuzhou Metal, this order turns out to be very diverse and mixed by three different steel products. They are stainless steel, carbon steel, and steel profile respectively. The three types of steel differ in many aspects including usage, shape, appearance, chemical composition, production process, and mechanical properties. And they all have their own advantages preferred by their users who have different requirements and needs.
Compared with most Asian and European countries, Africa is more of a less tapped market with a higher expected growth rate of steel demand over the next decade.
